Mohair weather strips are used in combination with aluminium profiles. For example, they can be used to seal gaps or openings. They can also serve as a protective layer to prevent damage to the aluminium profile.

Mohair weather strips are made of polypropylene (PP). These brush seals are suitable for our universal insect screen profile. We offer both indoor and outdoor quality. The brush seals are available in grey or black.

The standard backing widths are 4.8 mm or 6.9 mm. These fit into a brush slot of 7.5 mm wide and 1.5 mm high. You can choose between self-adhesive or non-adhesive brush seals. It is also possible to treat the fibres with silicone, making them water-repellent. If you need a brush seal in a different size, we can also supply custom-made solutions.

In addition, you can choose between standard flexible fibres (available in various colours) or a stiffer untreated fibre for increased resistance. The fibres are fixed using heat bonding, which ensures a high recovery rate after compression, for example after closing a pleated door.

Onze borstels zijn goed bestand tegen slijtage en hebben een lage wrijving. Hierdoor verbeteren (indien van toepassing) de schuifprestaties. Daarnaast is het ook mogelijk om door middel van vinnen in het midden of aan de zijkant van de borstel de tochtwering nog beter te maken. We bieden de mogelijkheid om de verpakking voor je te personaliseren.

Een mohair borstel heeft een rug van geweven draad. Het is bij ons ook mogelijk om borstels met kunststof geëxtrudeerde rug te bestellen. Bij een geëxtrudeerde rug staan de haren van de borstel veel minder uit elkaar. Daarnaast vergroot dit het montagegemak. De haren staan normaal gesproken rechtop, maar wij leveren ook borstels met haren die schuin staan. Dus onder een hoek van bijvoorbeeld 20 graden.

The weather strips are available as standard in three heights. These heights include the backing:

10 mm
15 mm

The 4 mm brush is used in combination with an insect screen for an aluminium frame or a surface-mounted window screen (installed on the reveal). The brush is fitted into the flat side of the insect screen profile. The 4 mm brush is supplied in rolls of 450 linear meters.

De meest gebruikte borstel is 10 mm hoog. Deze borstel bevestig je op de kopse kant van het universele horprofiel. Dit type horprofiel is geschikt voor kunststof en houten kozijnen. De borstel zorgt voor afdichting van de zijkant. De 10 mm borstel is verpakt op rollen van 200 strekkende meter.

De 15 mm borstel is een alternatief voor de 10 mm borstel. Verder wordt deze borstel ook gebruikt om inmeetfoutjes snel op te lossen. De 15 mm borstel is verpakt op rollen van 110 strekkende meter.

Alle borstels zijn gemaakt van materiaal dat zowel in de buitenlucht als in de zon te gebruiken is.
